I'm not just a mom!!

For a while there I totally forgot that I had a JOB!  I was so enthralled with being a mommy, that I forgot  I was a dentist too!  Until it dawned on me at 4 weeks that at some point I needed to get back to the office.  I mean...I didn't go to dental school for nothing, right?!  Going back to work was tough!...I always thought moms were a little silly when they'd say that they cried when it was time to go back.  Well...I cried!!  Like a baby.  I went back at 6 weeks, and I knew I needed to or else I'd never want to go back!  It wasn't that I was worried about leaving her with babysitters and grandmas (and grandpas)...it was just that I knew that she was growing up FAST!  I love our morning times together.  She is so snuggly and happy in the mornings, and I wasn't ready to give that up.  Thank the Lord that I don't work on Thursdays or on the weekends, so I cherish those mornings with her like crazy!!  Don't get me wrong...I love my job...love it!....but, I love my little MQ way, way, way more!!

So my sweet girl has a whole slew of sitters.  MQ has adjusted well...and I guess I have too!  This is MQ with her "Tassie" or "Tass" or "The Lipstick Bandit"!  We can always tell when she's spent the day with Tass...she smells like Tass' Bvlgari perfume, has lipstick kisses all over her body (even on her belly), and she's missing things from her diaper bag (like her  oh-so-precious Gripe Water....that Tassie left in the shopping cart at Target).  We love our Tass!

MQ!!

Well...I've decided that I might not be the best blogger!  As you can see I clearly haven't kept up with this "journal" that I talked about back in APRIL!!!!  Just to name a few, I have taken a vacation, Eric turned 30,  and we've had a baby since then!  Our sweet little MaryQuin was born in August, and Eric and I are completely in love!!

Last August we were relaxing on a cruise ship in Alaska...ahhh!

This August I was relaxing in a hospital bed about to give birth...post epidural of course!!!  Man...how things have changed in just a year!!!

I'm thinking I need to invest in a new camera...daily photos have been taken since day one of her life and this little Sony might not cut it!

These pictures below were taken the day after she was born.  With the addition of our little bird (MQ), we are now a family of three!...how weird!

These two little girls LOVE their new little cousin!  My mom called me the other day to tell me that Lily and Nora were playing "Carmel and MaryQuin", where L was pretending to be me and N was baby MQ!  How cute is that?!!

Not only do those "big cousins" have MQ to play with now...they also have two new baby brothers that were welcomed into this world 15 hours after MaryQuin was born!  Yes...Cara and I were in hospital rooms right next to eachother (thanks to my dad who made sure that happened).  Their names are Cooper and Walker (not sure which one's which here in this picture).   I'm still having a heck of a time trying to figure out who's who.  Aren't they just the sweetest?

Big yawn from such a little girl!!!  I could just eat her little cheeks up!
