It has been way too long since I've posted anything here. It's about that time for me to make a decision on whether to continue blogging or not. I told myself that I would try it for MQ's first year, and then decide whether to continue or not. Well, I guess I'll continue. It's just too fun to look back on what we have done, and see pictures of how MQ has changed so much in the past several months. I will be printing this first year off and making it into a book soon...I just have to figure out how to do that!
We've had a busy Fall so far. MQ turned one and has been one busy little bee. Eric and I decided to get her started at a day care one day a week to let her have time to play with other kids...let me tell ya, if you think you might want to put your kid in a daycare part time, start them early! Queezy has had a tough time adjusting to being away from mommy, daddy, Tass, GG, or Ceci. It's getting better, but it's been hard on both MQ and on mommy! You see, she's really spoiled. She basically gets whatever she wants when she's with her grandmas (or grandpas)...and that's what grandparents are for, right?...but in a structured setting like daycare, that doesn't fly. The sweet teachers have been great and they love on her all day. The daycare is brand spankin' new and is sooooo nice! I highly recommend it!...if you have questions about daycares feel free to ask...I did my research! The picture below is at the breakfast table...they get breakfast, snack, lunch, and another snack throughout the day.
I have to apologize for the grainy pictures...my camera is basically horrible!...someone pleeeease tell Eric that I need a new one :)
We also had the opportunity to celebrate a new baby coming into this world at Christmas time! Baby Garcia (John Ryman) will be here before we know it! We played some pretty funny games (thanks to Travis!)...you'll see what I'm talking about as you scroll down through the pictures. Lots of laughs that night!
Queezy has been trying to walk these days! She will only take a few steps by herself, and then realizes she can get places faster by crawling. She's really proud of herself when she does decide to walk.
We've also made a couple trips to Cincinnati lately. That silly tumor on her left cheek came back (it's not really noticeable in these pictures). We noticed it while we were on vacation in August, so Dr. Adams wanted to get an ultrasound to check the blood flow. The ultrasound showed some significant blood flow still, so she's back on the medicine...and she was very happy to have the yummy medicine back in her diet! She loves Cincinnati Childrens Hospital...and I do too! Dr. Adams even invited MQ to a summer camp up there for children with vascular malformations...how cute is that? Her vascular malformation is nothing compared to what some kiddos have...praise God!...but I thought it was sweet for them to invite her!
She had to wear this band on her ankle...let's just say it didn't last that long!
They tried to distract her during the ultrasound by putting a Sesame Street show on the t.v., but she was scared of Cookie Monster. What kid doesn't like Sesame Street?!...I guess we don't watch enough t.v. in our house!
One of my best friends had her first baby last month....baby Benton was born on September 11th, 2011! This news sure brought some happiness to that somber day. He is precious!!!
We also made a trip to Lexington for the UK/UL game. Mere and I drove to Lexington early in the day to go shopping, and then we headed over to Commonwealth to tailgate. Nate, Mere, and I headed back to Louisville just before the game started and we were home to watch all of the second half. Great game plan! We got to go shopping, see our friends at the game, watch most of the game on t.v., and hit the sack at a decent hour! We'll be doing that again!
It's been a busy fall so far! Better get to bed!...D Price has had me in the office by myself this week, as he and mom have been in Vegas all week (for a dental convention). I'll be glad to have my business partner back to help lighten the load!
Thanks so much for taking pictures at the shower! it was so great to see you all and love on precious MQ- wish it could have been for longer!! Do you mind emailing me a couple of those pictures savgarcia18@gmail.com or maybe I can just copy them from here? Miss yall!!!
